Meet Christian Earl Cadera

The City of Barrie has grown from the Gateway to the North to a destination in its own right. There is no city quite like Barrie in all of Canada, and Ward 1 is arguably its soul.

Hello, my name is Christian Earl Cadera and I am running to be councillor of Ward 1 in Barrie this October.

Discovering Ward 1

Home to Georgian College, Royal Victoria Hospital and Johnson’s Beach as well as thousands of homes and businesses, Ward 1 is where we live, work and play.

Preparing for the Future

Supporting Local Business

I would work towards providing more robust supports for small and medium sized businesses in Barrie. Barrie is home to a great many successful businesses that will be challenged in the years ahead as our economy shifts to adapt to global changes.

Housing and Homelessness

I would support any effort by the city to work towards a regional, or even better, a national response to the chronic housing and narcotic crises facing our communities.

Responsible Growth

Barrie is an ever-growing city. I would focus on contributing to council making responsible choices, so that growth balances the needs of both new and existing residents.
